Reports to: Marketing Manager

 

Role Overview:

The Digital Marketing Executive is responsible for delivering the company's digital marketing activity, customer engagement and lead generation initiatives. The role will manage the day-to-day running of the company's website and its integration with the CRM system, email marketing, SEO activity, digital content and marketing analytics to ensure that digital channels effectively support business growth and brand development.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working closely with wider business teams, the Digital Marketing Executive will ensure that customer communications, online experiences and marketing performance are continuously developed and optimised to achieve commercial objectives.

Website Management

  • Manage the day-to-day development and ongoing management of the company website, ensuring content remains accurate, engaging and aligned with brand standards.

Customer Journey Management

  • Manage customer-facing online journeys and identify opportunities to improve user experience, engagement and conversion, including sample requests, trade account registrations and sales.

CRM Support

  • Support CRM integration and ensure customer data is effectively maintained, segmented and utilised to support customer retention and business growth.

Email Marketing

  • Deliver the company's email marketing activity, balancing brand-building communications with commercial campaigns and customer engagement activities.

Marketing Automation

  • Develop and manage automated customer journeys and lead nurturing workflows, including sample request follow-ups, new trade account welcome programmes and re-engagement of lapsed accounts.

SEO Strategy

  • Implement SEO activity to improve website visibility, organic traffic and search engine performance.

Third-Party Digital Presence

  • Support the roll-out of product information across third-party digital platforms, including trade directories and partner and stockist websites.

Digital Content

  • Create, manage and optimise digital content, website copy and landing pages, utilising AI-assisted tools where appropriate to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Social Media

  • Support in creating content for social media, scheduling, and elevating the effectiveness of the James Hare social media platforms. 

Marketing Analytics

  • Produce regular marketing reports and analysis, providing insights into website, social media and email performance, campaign effectiveness, customer engagement and lead generation activities.

Success Measures

  • Define and report against agreed digital KPIs, such as organic traffic growth, database growth, engagement rates and qualified lead volume, to demonstrate marketing performance and inform planning.

Performance Optimisation

  • Monitor website traffic, customer behaviour and digital marketing performance, identifying opportunities to improve conversion rates and marketing effectiveness.

Campaign Support

  • Support campaign development, content creation and campaign execution.

Agency and Supplier Management

  • Work with external digital suppliers and agencies, including web development, SEO and CRM partners, supporting the Marketing Manager to ensure quality and delivery against agreed objectives.

 

Skills & Experience:

The post holder must have:

  • Degree-level qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional marketing qualification such as CIM Level 4 or equivalent is desirable. 
  • Experience in digital marketing, website management, CRM systems and customer communications, experience with Shopify and Intact is advantageous.
  • Experience developing and managing email marketing campaigns, audiences and customer engagement programmes, Mailchimp experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in social media, analysing and elevating brand presence, Pinterest and Instagram experience as priority.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles, website optimisation and digital content management.
  • Working knowledge of UK GDPR and PECR as they apply to email marketing and customer data.
  • Experience using website analytics and reporting tools to monitor performance and provide actionable insights, GA4 experience is preferable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital marketing platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commercial awareness and a results-driven approach.
  • Experience within the interiors, textiles, luxury goods or related sectors would be advantageous.
