Role Overview:
As Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the company’s marketing strategy, with full responsibility for the function. You will lead the development and execution of a modern, digitally driven approach that strengthens brand positioning and delivers measurable commercial growth.
This is a particularly significant time for the business, with a new website in development and a planned rebrand—both of which will sit under your leadership. You will have the opportunity to define and implement these initiatives, ensuring they are executed to a high standard and aligned with the company’s long-term strategic objectives.
This role combines strong creative direction with a clear focus on digital performance. You will take ownership of the full marketing function, with particular emphasis on website development and optimisation, email marketing, SEO, analytics, outreach, AI-enabled tools, and paid media. You will ensure that all marketing activity is both visually compelling and data-led, delivering consistent brand storytelling while maximising return on investment.
The company is currently building a new website and this will be an integral part of the role initially.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Direction and Strategy
- Develop creative ideas and concepts that align with the brand’s objectives.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to devise strategic marketing initiatives.
Marketing Strategy & Digital Leadership
- Develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy with a strong digital-first approach.
- Drive growth through data-led decision-making, focusing on customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Identify and implement opportunities across SEO, paid media, email, and digital outreach.
- Introduce and embed the use of AI tools to improve marketing efficiency, targeting, and content creation.
Website & Digital Leadership
- The company is currently building a new website and this will be an integral part of the role.
- Own and continuously optimise the company website to improve user experience, conversion rates, and search visibility.
- Work with external agencies and internal teams to enhance website functionality, content, and performance.
- Monitor and report on key digital KPIs including traffic, conversion, and customer behaviour.
- Keep the company website up-to-date with fresh content, new products, images, and copy to ensure a dynamic user experience.
Social Media
- Oversee social media strategy to drive engagement across all platforms.
- Analyse social media performance and adjust strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
Email Campaigns
- Oversee the planning, execution and reporting on the performance of email campaigns to continually improve outreach and effectiveness.
Brand Consistency
- Lead the rebrand, introducing the new branding across all touchpoints.
- Oversee the creation of all marketing materials, ensuring consistency with brand identity across digital and print mediums.
- Approve all creative outputs, refine visual branding guidelines, and ensure compliance across departments.
Brand Management
- Ensure all creative outputs adhere to brand guidelines and effectively communicate the desired message.
- Continuously evolve the brand’s visual and verbal identity to maintain relevance and impact.
Public Relations
- Oversee the activities of external PR agency to ensure effective brand communication.
- Develop press releases.
Innovation and Trends
- Stay abreast of the latest trends in design and marketing to integrate fresh and innovative ideas into campaigns.
- Experiment with new creative techniques and digital tools to enhance marketing efforts.
Marketing Meetings
- Participate in monthly discussions with the Managing Director and marketing team to review progress and refine strategies.
Skills & Experience:
Essential
- Possess proven marketing experience with a lifestyle brand, preferably in the interior trade, fashion or textile industry.
- Higher level education in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a creative marketing role.
- Comprehensive understanding of the opportunities of Ai is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of SEO, website management, email marketing, analytics and paid media.
- Experience using digital marketing tools eg Google Analytics, email platforms, ad platforms.
- Strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in marketing software and analytics tools.
- Creative thinker with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven mindset and a passion for achieving marketing goals.
Working Conditions:
- This role typically operates in an office environment but may require travel within the UK.
- Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate photoshoots, travel or stand and showroom set ups.
